You're Invited To Enter The Hit Like A Girl Contest - 5th Annual Hit Like A Girl international contest for female drummers opens February 1
You're invited to enter the 2016 Hit Like A Girl Contest beginning February 1, 2016. As a past contestant or supporter we want to encourage you and other drummers you know to participate in the world's largest celebration of female drumming. Just look for the entry button on the home page February 1, 2016.
UPLOAD YOUR VIDEO AND BIO TO ENTER
Beginning February 1, 2016, you can upload and register your drum videos online to be seen by fans, friends and family, be judged by an all-star panel of industry leaders and celebrity judges, and compete to win $1000s in drum gear from the world’s top drum and accessory companies. As in the past there are two categories: 18+ and Under 18. Younger girls will need parents to sign and submit a Coppa form in order to participate (downloadable on the site).

The judges for this year’s contest features Lindsay Artkop, Jess Bowen, Emmanuelle Caplette, Terri Lyne Carrington, Emily Dolan Davies, Kiran Gandhi, Yissy Garcia, Venzella Joy, Nia Lovelis, Didi Negron, Nicx, Anika Nilles, Cherisse Osei, Val Sepulveda, Kim Thompson, Alicia Warrington and Hannah Welton. Executives from Alfred, Drummer, Sabian, Yamaha and Zildjian represent the drum industry judges. Plus, drumming legend Steve Smith is the first to be confirmed as a special guest judge for the final round of competition.
The entry period for the 2016 Hit Like A Girl contest runs from February 1 through March 13, 2016 with Weekly Winners and Finalists chosen through a combination of celebrity judging and public voting, and announced during the course of the contest.
